Windmill Windup
By Matt Christopher
Windmill Windup is about a 13, year old girl named Kelly Conroy who is crazy about softball. Her and her friends, where all on the Devil Rays last summer. The Devil Rays came in second place in her league. She plays first base and is their cleanup batter.
But something summer is a disaster her mom is dating a guy she can't stand and she gets on the wrong team. See what happens and how she deals with it.
I liked how she got through it by her friends supporting her even when she was grumpy and selfish. I thought that it was confusing when she was really nice then got really mean in the next sentence. I would recommend this books too girls who play softball from the age of 12-14.
