No what I was expectingJan 06, 2007

In my opinion the author is not familiar with the subject, the book is more like a general thermodynamics' overview of the chilled water process without touching the mechanical part of it, if you are looking for an in-depth technical explanation about different chillers types keep on looking, this is not your book.

Good entry level book for chillers and cooling towersDec 21, 2007
By Timothy Howell I liked Marcell's book quite a bit. He is good at explaining many of the facets of chiller operation, selection and application along with cooling tower applications. I wish he would use more formulas in a future edition of the book. Overall it was a good entry level book and I would recommend it to entry level through 2 year controls and mechanical engineers needing to know more about chilled water generation.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son who is a HVAC Technician. He was very happy and surprised when I gave him the book for Christmas. If you are into HVAC this would be an excellent book to have.
